DIWC Membership...

Becoming a member is really easy.

Fill out a membership form and pay the annual fee of £3!

With DIWC membership you have access to all our classes, activities and will get our News Letter and information packs sent out to you four times per year.

You can get a membership form from DIWC reception, or call and we will send one out to you. If you need any assistance filling out the membership form we will be more than happy to help. All information you give us is confidential and we do not disclose personal information to any other individuals or organisations.

Classes Updates...

Timetabled classes stop during the summer holidays. Classes start back from week beginning the 18th of August. Please read individual class descriptions below for start dates.
During the summer we have Cake decorating classes teaching piping techniques with cream icing as well as intricate decorations with fondant icing. If you are interested please contact us on 01382462058 to book your place. Classes run on Wednesday 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th July, 1pm-3pm and costs £3.20 for the full course.

- A group, for girls and young women, that participates in a wide range of activities including: arts, drama, sports, recreation and trips around Scotland.

- A new group starting from the 1st September, offering mums an opportunity to drop their child off in our creche and socialise with other mums. A great way to share parenting experiences and a time to relax. Tea and biscuits will be available

  This is an accredited national qualification course in childcare and education covering subjects such as child development, developmental theory, play in early education, supporting children’s behaviour and placement visits.

- All those interested must apply by written application and then interviewed and selected by the end of August 2007. All applicants should have good understanding of English and a genuine interest in working with children.

- Photography Project
- Classes will run on 11th, 18th, and 25th September. A one off project for women to learn how to take artistic photos, to express what happiness and mental wellbeing means to them. Photos will be displayed in a photography exhibition on Friday 10th October at the DIWC as part of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Arts and Film Festival. Free class, crèche available, booking essential.
