Dundee International Women’s Centre has over 40 years experience in working with diverse cultures, religions and communities. We know that we have the experience, knowledge and understanding, which many professionals seek to gain and would benefit from. We know that equipped with this knowledge, individual professionals would gain the ability to engage and learn through enhanced contact with diverse communities.
The training we provide works towards breaking down barriers and making communication easier through greater self awareness and understanding of cultural issues that are often daunting and uncomfortable for professionals who are trying to engage diverse communities.

Training will involve using a wide range of learning techniques that encourage proactive participation and understanding from both the facilitators and participants.
Training Techniques:
- Interactive workshops that incorporate cultural and religious objects
- Group work
- Knowledge based discussions
- Quizzes and Question Time
Training can be for professionals, community groups and school children.
Cost:
Costing is dependant on number of individuals trained, length of training and activities requested. Training can be facilitate at DIWC for no additional cost and a buffet lunch and tea coffee service can be accommodated as well.
