DIWC Support Services provides support, information and advice for Polish and English speaking communities. (support for other languages can be arranged with pior notice)
The services provided include:
- - Free, confidential and friendly advice and information
- - Accessing services such as health, education, benefits, housing, employment
- -A listening ear for anyone who needs to talk
- -Citizen Advice Bureau sessions
- - Helping organisations to understand cultural differences and needs of various immigrant communities
- - Helping promote different services and agencies within immigrant communities
- - A casual drop-in or formal appointment system
Other services include promotion and help with information on the various classes at the centre (DIWC). Interpretation and translation is provided for those who require assistance with form filling or general information and advice.
Apart from all the above support, they help in sign-posting to other agencies and accessing services where needed.
