Social enterprises are businesses with primarily social objectives whose profits are principally reinvested back into the business or into the community, rather than being dividends for shareholders and owners.
With today's focus on charities having financial independence, DIWC has developed, as part of it's income generation, a number of social enterprise projects.
All of the income generated from DIWC’s social enterprise projects is immediately reinvested in strengthening and developing service provision.
Our ultimate aim is to be self sustaining and not dependent on grant giving bodies.
